Pirates of the Drowned Hypertorus
A curious, pirate-themed Roguelike where you try to bump into people better than they bump into you.
Console Controls
- A: Fire your gun if you have one
- B: Jump
- C: Strafe
Gameplay
This game is mostly about gaining an advantageous position on your opponents. If you and your opponent bump while you are facing each other, you trade blows and you both lose health. If you bump your opponent from the back, however, you deal bonus damage and lose no health, so try to strike from behind.
When you jump, you're defenseless, so try not to bump into anybody while jumping.
Get a treasure chest to end the round and go to the store. The goal of the game is to buy the 3 treasure maps.

I really like how this is coming together. My first impression is that the art style and animation remind me of some early arcade games by a Taito. Lunar Rescue (1979) is a good example. So that creates a unique charm that is rarely seen on the Genesis/ Mega Drive. In terms of the concept, you are the only MD dev on itch that is pushing these creative combinations of ideas. And, it's fun!
Thanks Mega RyeGuy! I always appreciate your encouragement!
very good
Thank you!
