Rotating the ellipse


I demoed the game to some family this weekend, and found it was still really hard to read the game. I've been getting a little frustrated about that. Then I struggled more with getting the goal hit box right, and after it still didn't work I had an idea to turn the whole thing... sideways.

So I'm experimenting now with whether the GOAL can be a HOLE rather than a hoop. The math is at least more sensible, since the holes are actually rendered in the same perspective as the characters. Before, the hoops were basically leaning backwards. I'm not sure whether it's going to feel good, but hopefully I can just model ellipses now and be done with it.
